Knowledge Quest Online Testing Competition
Chapters are encouraged to take advantage of an online competition opportunity for all affiliated members in your program! From the familiarity of your FCS classroom, students can take online tests that will:
- Showcase their college and career-ready knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Measure students’ understanding and application of specific subject areas related to FCS
- Provide an additional value-added competitive and recognition opportunity in the classroom for student members
Click on the image to the left to access this year’s informational packet for the fall Knowledge Quest online competitions. For 2025, the schedule is as follows:
- November 15, 4:00 p.m. – affiliation and dues payment (received date) for participating members
- November 15, 5:00 p.m. – online Knowledge Quest registration site closes and registration fee due (received date)
- November 17-21 – first testing window (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
- December 1-5 – second testing window (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
The test questions come directly from competency lists at the CTE Resource Center, so you can be confident you’re being evaluated on the most current and essential information. Links to study resources are provided in Virginia FCCLA’s Knowledge Quest packet (click the graphic above). Each test has a 30-minute time limit for completing and submitting the online test.
The Top 10 in each knowledge test/level will be recognized through various Virginia FCCLA media channels. A customizable certificate is available that can be printed at the local level for all participants from the chapter.
The Top 10 will also be recognized at the Closing Session of the State Leadership & Recognition Conference in the spring on screen and on stage. The Top 3 will receive a framed certificate. A special photo backdrop area will be provided at the conference. Participation in recognition at the state conference will require paid registration for the conference.
